Original abstract
INCONEL 713 LC is popular material for more exposed parts of turbine engines. These parts are usually exposured to high dynamic stress (fatigue processes, creep) and variable temperatures in corrosion environment (hot corrosion, oxidation and erosion). The most frequent failure of these parts is fatigue damage, which is started from inclusions at the surface. Topography of the surface of IN 713 LC in as received state and after low cycle fatigue tests at room temperature 23C and 800C was studied. Surface relief was formed by slip bands (intrusions and extrusions), which are generated by mechanism of microplastic deformation. Surface topography was measured by means of laser scanning confocal microscope LEXT OLS3000 (Olympus). Achieved results were compared with AFM Autoprobe (VEECO) and SEM (Philips XL30) measurements.
