Originální abstrakt
In case of an extensive investment plant such as construction of a new logistic warehouse, its design hase to guarantee desired functionality and trouble-free worklow of all internal processes under the entire range of concievable conditions. To ensure this, computer simulation in early stages of planning phase is applied. Descrete event simulation model has to be created in order to gain a tool, which will enable to design crucial what-if scenarios and to verify the response of the simulated system to diverse input parameters. Specific statistics and charts serve for better understanding of the system and for estimation of its performance parameters. Moreover, the simulation model can be used in the future as a planning tool to predict the response of the system to production program and other input parameters scheduled in the upcomming days or weeks.
