The general technical information regarding the small-scale production modernisation is presented in this article. The model situation is the CNC technology utilisation in a mid-sized engineering company. The article is focused on the rationalization of the large parts machining using the carousel lathe. The solution introduced in this article identifies the optimal cutting conditions and also deals with a workpiece imbalance-caused difficult cutting conditions.

Článek uvádí obecné technické informace z modernizace malosériové výroby s využitím CNC technologie ve středně velké strojírenské firmě. Popisuje racionalizaci obrábění soustružením velkých dílů na karuselovém soustruhu. Do řešení jsou zahrnuty ztížené podmínky vlivem nevývah obrobků a vytypovány optimální řezné podmínky.
