Profile
The graduates will acquire more profound knowledge of methods of design creation. Thus, in addition to the knowledge of the essential engineering and design fields acquired with the Bachelor's degree, the graduates will obtain both the theoretical and practical background needed to finding jobs in design practice as leaders of design teams of various fields, or to find their place in the market as free-lance designers.

The graduates will acquire more profound knowledge of methods of design creation. Thus, thanks to the knowledge of the essential engineering and design fields acquired with the studies, the graduates will obtain both the theoretical and practical background needed to finding jobs in design practice as leaders of design teams of various fields, or to find their place in the market as free-lance designers.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
students obtain in the master’s study programme grounding in ID (Industrial Design) creation. In past years, students have entered successfully into such competitions as Auto Design, Design Sapporo, Coram design, Michelin design, Electrolux Design Laboratory, Roca design, Mobitex, Red Dot, Young Packaging Design, Talent of designu, Zebra Design, BIO Ljubljana, etc., and have got “Good/Excellent Design” awards by the Design Center of the Czech Republic (up to seventy important awards from 1995 to 2011). Students have had exhibits in the Design Center of the Czech Republic in both Brno and Prague, Technical Museum in Brno, university galleries in Pilsen, Ústí n/L, Uherské Hradiště, etc. Designer with engineering education is well accepted on the job market. Graduates are employed in all fields of the economy, especially the industrial sphere (i.e. Skoda Auto) as well as with design and graphic companies. Graduates have the background for pedagogical and scientific duties and also abilities for marketing and managerial positions.
The best graduates are expected to continue their study in a Doctor's degree programme at our Faculty.
